The LEADALKO project, "Leadership Capacities Development in Higher Education across Albania and Kosovo", co-funded by the European Union, is a transformative initiative aimed at strengthening leadership, governance, and strategic management within higher education institutions in Albania and Kosovo.
The project brings together seven key partners: University College Bedër, Western Balkans University, EPOKA University, AAB College, University of Isa Boletini Mitrovica (UIBM), International School for Social and Business Studies, and Pegaso International.
LEADALKO’s mission is to enhance the leadership and management capacities of university staff, driving reforms that support sustainable growth, modern governance, and academic excellence. The project focuses on identifying best practices from EU institutions, designing tailored leadership development programs, training staff, and establishing a national leadership development center to ensure long-term impact.
Through this initiative, partner universities will implement dynamic leadership programs that foster strong, strategic leadership—empowering higher education institutions to contribute more effectively to societal progress and innovation.
